The actor enriched many films and enlivened many characters on screen. In 2006, he did Mira Nair's 'The Namesake' with Tabu as his leading lady.

In 2007, he was seen in Angelina Jolie starter film 'A Mighty Heart'. In the same year, he also appeared in 'Darjeeling Limited' in a role specially written to work with him.

In 'Slumdog Millionaire', the Oscar-winning film, he was seen in the role of a police inspector. In the same year, he also did 'New York, I Love You'.

He did 'The Amazing Spider-Man' in 2012, only for his sons who were excited about the project.  In the same year, he also appeared in 'Life of Pi'.

The actor played the role of the owner of the dinosaur theme park in the 'Jurassic World' released in 2015.

'Inferno' was another outing where the actor worked with Tom Hanks. 

In 2018, the actor was seen in the film 'Puzzle' playing the role of the mentor of a woman who is trying to search for a missing piece to complete the jigsaw puzzle of her life!
