The latest update in the Sushant Singh Rajput case is that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has filed a 1200-page chargesheet. 33 people, including Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty are named in the chargesheet.
Who all are named in the NCB chargesheet
The chargesheet, filed before a special court in Mumbai, includes names of Sushant's former manager Samuel Miranda, household help Dipesh Sawant, Kshitij Prasad, former executive producer of Dharmatic Entertainment along with Sushant's former girlfriend Rhea and her brother Showik.
Out of the 33 accused, eight are still in judicial custody, five are absconding while others are out on bail.

What's written in the NCB Chargesheet
The chargesheet includes the statements of 200 witnesses, forensic reports, voice recordings, Whatsapp chats, call records, recorded videos and other documents. Along with the 1200 pages in hard copy, the voluminous chargesheet also contains 50,000 digital pages.
It states that after the tests performed, it is confirmed that the substances seized during the investigation were narcotic in nature. The seized substances included LSD, charas, ganja, ecstasy, and psychotropic substances such as alprazolam and clonazepam covered under provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Apart from the narcotic substances, electronic gadgets, and Indian and foreign currency too were seized during the investigation. The NCB started the investigation in the Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case when a few drug chats surfaced.
The agency registered a case in August 2020. Under various sections of the NDPS Act, Rhea and her brother were arrested by the agency. Now they are out on bail.

Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik's lawyer Satish Manshinde said that NCB is targeting Rhea, he called the charge sheet "a damp squib standing on the foundation of inadmissible evidence and statements..."
