The actor, model and producer, 'Superman' Sood is helping stranded migrants during lockdown by sending them to their homes via buses, trains and flights.

The Simmba actor has helped thousands of stranded migrants reunite with their families and over 70,000 people are still on his waiting list. And many more are trying to contact him.

He has sent around 10 buses filled with people to Karnataka. He got 177 migrant girls airlifted from Kerala and sent them to Odhisa. He booked trains to send migrant workers stuck in Mumbai to UP and Bihar. And the list goes on.

The Messiah won't stop until the last migrant would reach his home.

1. Starred as Nagraj in a TV Ad of Raj Comics

Sood, the real-life superhero (without a cape) starred in an Ad commercial for Raj Comics as the fictional superhero Nagraj in 1997. In the advertisement, he was seen performing amazing stunts.

2. Co-Starred with Jackie Chan

The Dabangg actor co-starred with Jackie Chan in an Indo-Chinese movie Kung Fu Yoga. During the shoot the two actors became friends and the camaraderie continued post-shoot too. Last year the actors were seen catching up over dinner.

The movie also featured Disha Patnani and Amyra Dastur.

3. He is an Engineer

Before entering Tinseltown and choosing acting as his profession, the Simba actor pursued Electronics Engineering from Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Nagpur.

4. Made his acting debut with Kallazhagar, a Tamil film


Emerged as the Messiah for migrants, the actor made his debut in 1999 with the Tamil movie Kallazhagar. He played a negative role in the movie. In the same year, he also appeared in Nenjinile, another Tamil movie. 

The actor has shown his acting skills in about 70 Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi and Kannada films.

5. Shahid-e-Azam Bhagat Singh was his first Bollywood film

After working in Tollywood, the actor's first Bollywood movie was Shahid-e-azam Bhagat Singh. He played the character of Bhagat Singh in the movie.

 6. Sonali Stole Sonu's Heart


His love story is no less romantic than any Bollywood love story. He met Sonali, his soulmate during his college days in Nagpur. He started dating her and in 1996, they got married in a court. And now the couple has two sons, Ishant and Ayaan.  

7. He belongs to Moga in Punjab


The actor hails from Moga in Punjab. His father Shakti Sagar owned a clothing shop and his mother Saroj was a professor.

The actor was born on 30 July 1973 in Moga, Punjab.

8. Did Pepsi's Swag Ad


The Dabangg actor was recently seen in Pepsi's '#harghoontmeinswag' campaign on Instagram. In the times of COVID-19, the ad campaign gives a message - 'Aaj kal salam-namaste karne mein hi swag hai'.

Sonu Sood owns a production house, Shakti Sagar Productions, named after his father Shakti Sagar Sood.

10. Offered his hotel to healthcare workers


The actor also has a hotel in Juhu. He has offered it to the healthcare staff during the COVID-19 crisis.
