An unconventional romantic story, 'The Lunchbox' lends freshness to this genre. In the fast-paced era of the internet, love is all about swiping but in this heart-touching tale, you witness love blossoming through the exchange of letters, lending that old world charm to the story.

Director Ritesh Batra dished out a beautiful little story of loneliness and love between two strangers that unfolds when a mistake is made by the famous Mumbai dabbawalas.

Irrfan convincingly played the character of a lonely widower while Nimrat Kaur also performed her character of a neglected wife with brilliance.

Not to forget Nawazzuddin Siddiqui who makes 'The Lunchbox' more palatable with the much-needed touch of humour to the otherwise slow-paced emotional drama.
