In the ongoing Bollywood drug case, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh's name cropped up. Read on to know the latest updates in the ongoing drug probe by the NCB.

After over 100 days, Sushant Singh Rajput's death mystery is yet to be unfolded. But the action never died down. The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested Rhea Chakraborty and with her arrest A-listers came under scanner and Bollywood drug nexus came to the fore.


Bollywood Divas in Denial Mode

The NCB officials summoned Deepika, Sara, Shraddha, Rakul Preet and recorded their statements. During the interrogation, all four denied consuming any kind of drugs. They said that they don't even smoke cigarettes.

What did Deepika Padukone tell NCB officials about her drug chat?

Bollywood actress Deepika was questioned for nearly five hours. She admitted that the chat in the WhatsApp group that surfaced was hers.

In the chat 'D' asked 'K' about 'maal'. And it was later revealed that D is none other than the Bollywood's Mastani and K is her Manager Karishma Prakash. It was also revealed that Deepika was the admin of the group.

In the chats that date back to 2017, the actress has asked her manager for “maal”. In the chat, she further asked for “hash”.


How Deepika Padukone Decoded 'Maal'?

During her interrogation, the Chhapaak actress had denied consuming drugs. She said that ‘maal’ is a code word they use for a cigarette.

When officials asked her what is 'hash' as she mentioned in her chat. She told the officials that it's a thin cigarette while 'weed' is a thick cigarette.

When Karishma Prakash was grilled, she too told the officials the same code. It seems that they have done their homework before they appeared in front of the NCB officials.


More Codes: Paneer, Quickie & Marriage

Chhapaak actress told that in the film industry they talk in codes. 'Paneer' is used for very thin people. 'Quickie' is used for short relation while 'Marriage' means long term relationship.

According to sources, Bajirao Mastani actress broke down thrice during the interrogation. But officials told her not to play the "emotional card".


Actresses' Mobiles Seized

The mobile phones of all four actresses have been seized by the anti-drugs agency to clone them for forensic analysis. This will help in the further investigation in the B-town drug case.

Country's three top agencies - Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are investigating the SSR case. Sushant Singh Rajput's death has been declared as suicide by the Mumbai Police but the CBI has not ruled out the murder angle.
